Surface Street Management for Toledo Regional ITS Architecture Roles and Responsibilities

	Share traffic information with other regional traffic management agencies.
	Operate ITS field equipment (including traffic signals) on City of Bowling Green roadways.
	Detect and verify traffic incidents on City of Bowling Green roadways.
	Disseminate traffic information via DMS to the traveling public on City of Bowling Green roadways.
City of Toledo Division of Transportation	Share traffic information with other regional traffic management agencies.
	Detect and verify traffic incidents on City of Toledo roadways.
	Operate ITS field equipment (including traffic signals) on City of Toledo roadways.
	Interconnect with signal systems operated by neighboring jurisdictions.
	Coordinate with TARTA to provide transit signal priority for fixed route buses.
	Disseminate traffic information via DMS to the traveling public on City of Toledo roadways.
	Operate wrong way vehicle detection systems on City of Toledo roadways.
Lucas County Engineer	Share traffic information with other regional traffic management agencies.
	Detect and verify traffic incidents on Lucas County roadways.
	Operate ITS field equipment (including traffic signals) on Lucas County roadways.
	Disseminate traffic information via DMS to the traveling public on Lucas County roadways.
	Interconnect with signal systems operated by neighboring jurisdictions.

Municipal Engineering Departments	Detect and verify traffic incidents on roadways.
	Interconnect with signal systems operated by neighboring jurisdictions.
	Operate ITS field equipment (including traffic signals).
ODOT	Operate traffic signal equipment for Lucas County.
	Interconnect with signal systems operated by regional counties or municipalities adjoining the ODOT system.
	Operate traffic signal systems on state–owned roadways.
